Are you going to introduce us to everyone?

Our two dogs Ivory and LaDawn, Ivory is a Shepherd-Lab mix so she’s a little smaller than most labs, but still has all the separation anxieties of one; LaDawn is a Shnauzer and more of my mom’s dog than mine, she won’t listen to a fucking thing I say; and Minnie Mittens, our only female cat that’s literally round and skittish as goddamn shit. She’s a tabby. They’re all our oldest animals, with LaDawn being the youngest of them.

Julius Goddamn Motherfucking Caesar the cat, he’s the youngest animal we have and the (first and) only boy. He’s fat and fluffy and possibly part maine coon we have no idea.

And my mom. She’s a construction worker and pipefitter, and also an on-call teacher/instructor for her job with the Union. She’s done that all her life so she’s like insanely strong and works harder than anyone I know. Mom’s sort of loudly obnoxious, overly dramatic and my complete opposite, but she’s an honest and hardworking woman and I love her to death because she raised me to be just as honest and hardworking, and I can’t thank her enough for those kinds of morals.
So in case you don’t know, I usually babysit two girls- Emma the oldest, and Kennedy the youngest- on tuesdays and saturdays. Today being one of those days.
Since I usually have a lot of work to do when I come over (and the weather is usually nasty out, like today for whatever reason) we normally sit around inside and watch cartoons.
Right now we’re watching some show called Fishtronaut, and it’s one of those kid shows where it’ll ask you to do something along with them so that whatever they’re going to do will work.
Just now they were like “Let’s do it again!!” and they papped their cheeks and their stomachs or whatever, and out of the corner of my eye I catch Kennedy and Emma following along, so I say “Good job you guys!”
and Emma immediately retorts “I DIDN’T EVEN DO IT I didn’t, I was just rubbing my cheeks because they ITCHED.”

She’ll do the same thing if we watch Dora, too.
Oh Emma.

Haha, today must be a “Bana can only do boring lineart doodles relating to even more boring anectodes about her life instead of actual work” day today.
Sometimes when I get anxious I like to make lists or organize my thoughts/things. Organization calms me down since anxiety makes me feel frazzled and out of control of situations. One of the bigger Virgo traits that matches me to a fucking T.
But I think it’s why I like management games like Harvest Moon or Rune Factory so much, of course the Runey system is still fucking bullshit but I’ve felt so on edge today that I’ve spent the better half of it trying to understand so I can completely decimate the stupid system.
Fuck runeys make gold get anime bitches.

One more warmup doodle that relates to a work story.
I’m a daycare assitant, and one of my jobs while school is in session is to walk the kids up the driveway from the bus stop to the daycare at the top. I really only have two-three kids to worry about, but there’s two other little boys who get off with our group that live in the house nearby, so I decided I may as well walk everyone up. Usually the kids run ahead of me because they’ve made a game out of who can get up the driveway the fastest, but there’s one nine-year-old little boy who always lags behind. I always made sure to go a little slower so we’d end up at the top at the same time.
He’s one of those quite kids who clearly has interests that don’t quite match most of his fellow classmates, something I can understand since I was that kid growing up too, so around the second day I started walking the kids up he shyly sparked a conversation with me, and I managed to get him talking. We talked about video games and the Hulk, and he got super jazzed to show me the games he’d brought with him to school that day. Since then he gets really excited to see me and will wave if he’s on the bus but not getting off at our stop.
Then a couple of days ago, same routine, he gets off the bus and puts his hand up to his mouth like he’s going to tell me a secret and says “Hey you, you’re really pretty. I’m serious, you seriously are.”
And it was just really cute.

warmup doodle of my amazing realization this morning that my hazelnut coffee tastes best cold
I’ll do some of these singularly I think.
Anyway yeah I did, but only in my Junior year. I’d broken up with my ex and my best friend had another date to prom, so I ended up making my friend Matt go with me (literally made, I walked up to him, asked him if he had a date to prom- and I knew he didn’t because our group of friends had discussed prom before, also I was friends with his mom- and when he told me “No” I said “Well you do now, fucker” and that was that.) He ended up being more in to it than I had thought; his tie matched my dress fucking perfectly, he got me a really nice corsage, paid for dinner, etc.
It was an evening of ups and downs, really. Matt wouldn’t dance because despite it he didn’t want to be there- he’s the kind of kid who prefers evenings at home with WoW to social events, nothing wrong with that btw- but I’d asked him to be my date because I honestly just wanted him to have a good time, considering he hits really hard lows and it worries me
and I used to be a really boisterous kid, in the bad sense of the word (or, in the “big sister” anime sense of it, I guess), so I made him dance with me a couple times after some punchin and some pushin.

It was the only way to ever get him to do things “socially fun”, but I was happy to oblige.
IN THE END IT WAS A PRETTY NICE EVENING, I regard the memory fondly. u O u
